you cannot have her youth

Kali the Destoryer

kali, the goddess of life
is the goddess of death too,

counting eons
as skulls
as sand-grains

sword unsheathed
she takes bone and teeth
and
illusion:

grain-sands cannot dry up oceans,
or wet eons,
or nippled white stars

grain-sands
all
swept to seas
whose waters
silly life
once seeped
from star-milk
now echos into dry chaos
the perfect forms of aching bone

you cannot have her youth
now
her milk
her flesh
nor she
nor she

time moves across  flesh,
as a scrapper scrapes
sweet moss from stone
fragments of trees,
now moss sap dried
feint seed smelling flecks
grains of green
sand

flowing

floating

falling

as euridice's head sang
as sexless sand
and fleshless song
to the styx

you cannot have her youth
now
her milk
her flesh
nor she
as grain-sands
everywhere
these belong to me

i am the great Goddess of the hard soul,
the destroyer of flesh and time
